We are currently seeking a Production Operative to join our valued client based in Thatcham with the opportunity to go full time after a qualifying period.
Role Overview:
As a Production Operative, you will be an integral part of the team responsible for various tasks such as drilling and tapping. You'll be supporting the team in maintaining smooth operations and ensuring that goods are handled with care and accuracy. Your contribution will be key in achieving timely deadlines and meeting company targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drilling – Knowledge of types of alloys available and appropriate use on different materials
- Tapping – Practical application of various methods and tool types.
- Quality – Ability to work to a very high standard.
- Maintain a tidy and well-organised work environment
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Work effectively with the team to achieve operational goals
Requirements:
- Experience of holding a similar role within a manufacturing organisation
- Very good working knowledge in processing metal assemblies
- Excellent attention to detail with written and numerical information is essential.
- Technical – Ability to interpret and work from technical documentation is an advantage but not essential
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions
- Flexibility, reliability, and a positive, proactive attitude
- Willingness to learn and take on new tasks
