The Best Connection are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer Manager to work at a renowned company in West Bromwich.

Hours of work: Mon-Fri 08:00-16:30

Salary: £48,006-£53,331

Duties/experience required:

• Managing the Mechanical Engineering & Civil Engineering departments consisting of staff members and contractors when required.
• Experience managing a mechanical maintenance department.
• Mechanical project engineering management experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Able to use Computerised Maintenance Management Systems.
• Outstanding man management skills.
• Computer literate.
• Ensure that all installation and maintenance is completed safely and meets all company and legal requirements.
• Will need to liaise with colleagues in a variety of departments and contacts including suppliers and contractors.

Qualifications/Training:

• As a minimum, the RQF level 3 (e.g. City & Guilds level 3) in a practical Mechanical Fitting/Engineering is required.
• Holding a Mechanical apprenticeship is advantageous.
• Previous usage of MEWP’s, Abrasive wheels and Confined Spaces would be beneficial.
