The Best Connection have a fantastic opportunity for one of our local clients for Preventative Maintenance HGV Mechanic to join their Workshop team over a busy period. We are welcoming applications from candidates who are level 3 qualified mechanics and have an interest in working for a respected Global organisation.
Responsibilities of the Preventative Maintenance HGV Mechanic
- Carry out servicing, inspection and minor repairs to earth moving equipment and machinery.
- Update all service manual records and carry out all works in accordance with manufacturer guidelines
- Develop an effective working relationship with workshop engineers to achieve all PPM tasks
- Carry out cleaning and inspection of machinery to the highest standards of health and safety.
- Ensure that all paperwork and workshop admin duties are completed accurately.
- Maintain a safe and healthy working environment, reporting any issues with machinery in a timely manner
Requirements of the Preventative Maintenance HGV Mechanic:
- Must be a qualified level 3 vehicle mechanic, ideally with HGV/Earth moving machinery knowledge
- Experience of conducting PPM in a workshop environment
- Good accuracy and organisational skills
- Ability to work to target and complete tasks to exact scheduling.
- PC literate
- Good attention to detail, with a methodical approach to working
