Our client is looking for a Maintanence Operative in Witney.

Maintenance Operative 

Salary: £25,695 - £27,299/year | Hours: 37 hrs/week | Holiday: 24 days (rising to 29) + public holidays

Role Overview:

• Support the Estates Supervisor in maintaining college buildings and grounds
• Ensuring statutory compliance and conducting day-to-day repairs
• Key tasks include fault diagnosis, first-fix repairs, supervising contractors, managing security, and performing safety checks
• You’ll also oversee the operation of building systems and respond to emergency situations

Essential Requirements for Maintanence Operative role:

• Background in construction trades (plumbing, carpentry, etc.)
• Experience in maintenance, health & safety (fire regulations, COSHH)
• Strong leadership, communication, and IT skills
• Ability to supervise contractors and complete compliance checks

Desirable:

•  Level 3 trade qualification
•  First aid
•  Ability to travel
