The Best Connection are currently seeking Multiskilled Mainteneance Engineer (Electrical Bias) for a Manufacturer and distribution company in the Bradford area.

Hours of work Monday to Friday 0800 -1600

Responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer 

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance activities to maximise plant reliability
• Undertake planned emergency repairs in a safe and timely manner
• Contribute towards system/process improvements and take responsibility for organising safety checks and inspections (ie portable application testing, lifting equipment etc.)
• Maintain stock levels of machinery spares and consumables
• Carry out fault finding and diagnostics in emergency breakdown situations.
• Assume responsibility for contractor control on site

Requirements of the Maintenance Engineer

• A time served apprenticeship in either mechanical or electrical engineering
• Qualified to 17th or preferably 18th edition
• Pneumatics, hydraulics, and PLC experience would be advantageous as would experience in installations and project commissioning.
• Flexibility to work outside of normal hours if needed
