Job Description:
The Best Connection are seeking wood mill operatives to join our team in the Doncaster area. The ideal candidate will have previous woodwork experience and a keen eye for detail however, training will be provided. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining sawmill equipment to cut and process timber according to specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Movement of sawn timber from sawmill to stock locations around the site.
- Operate sawmill machinery to cut logs into lumber and other wood products.
- Ensure precise cutting and processing of timber to meet quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance of sawmill equipment.
- Monitor and adjust machine settings to optimize production efficiency.
- Working safely and adhering to health and safety guidelines
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
Working hours:
15:00 – 23:00 Monday to Thursday (Overtime available)
Pay rate:
£12.21
Previous experience in is advantageous by not essential as full training is provided.
Familiarity with materials handling techniques within a warehouse setting is preferred.
