The Best Connection are recruiting a Logistics Coordinator on behalf of an established client in the Speke area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working with Customers & Hauliers
- Cultivate strong relationships with transport providers and key stakeholders, driving operational excellence.
- Communicate and execute customer plans that position the company as a preferred supply chain partner across all functions.
- Arrange delivery & collection times with customers, in line with the planned route and customer opening hours/restrictions.
- Provide real-time updates to customers, showcasing exceptional customer service.
- Highlight areas for improvement through effective, timely communication.
Responsibilities within the Logistics Team:
- Collaborate closely with the Regional Logistics Manager and other Logistics Coordinators delivery of products and services to customers.
- Plan deliveries and collections from designated Service Centres.
- Allocate own drivers to the plan on a day-to-day basis.
- Ensure all drivers have the correct information for all deliveries and collections.
- Manage abnormal load movements in line with C&U regulations.
- Maximise vehicle utilisation by planning and communicating vehicle maintenance in advance.
- Ensure compliance paperwork is retained to meet O Licence requirements.
- Communicate performance reports, including infringements, with drivers and take remedial actions to avoid future re-occurrences.
- Build strong relationships with third-party hauliers for seamless coordination and exceptional service delivery.
- Report issues as they arise and offer support in providing solutions to minimise customer impact.
- Adhere to corporate policies, procedures, and legislative transport requirements.
- Support the Logistics operation to maximise delivery options and minimise costs.
- Complete Service Centre administration tasks as required.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:30
Salary:
£28,000 - £29,000 per year - dependant on experience.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in logistics coordination or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to plan and optimise logistics operations effectively.
- Proficiency in compliance and regulatory requirements related to transport.
