Loading Shovel Operator

The Best Connection are currently recruiting for a Loading Shovel Operative for our client based in Stockton on Tees. This is a busy plant that is preparing for its peak period. The job is aiming to start at the end of of January/February (weather dependant position). This will consist of a 'day shift' and a 'back shift'. The candidate must be flexible for both.

The successful candidate will be able to support the Site Manager and the team by carrying out the following duties:

• Working as part of a team to ensure bags are produced in an orderly manner
• Use of loading shovel around the site (inside and outside work)
• Shovelling loose product as and when required
• Bag and tieing tonne and half tonne bags of product
• Able to learn the business structure
• Must be flexible with working hours e.g. working weekends/overtime if needed

Experience:

• Experience in a warehousing environment
• Experience in the chemical background desirable
• Loading shovel experience

Hours of work are shift dependant:

DAY SHIFT:

£9.60 per hour Monday to Friday: 6am until 4pm-5pm with a 30 minute lunch break (candidate must be flexible)

Overtime available after 8 hours, and Saturdays, Sundays & Bank Holidays.

£14.40 after 8 and on a Saturday

£19.20 on Sundays and Bank Holidays

BACK SHIFT

£12.00 per hour Monday to Friday: 5pm until 3:30am with a 30 minute lunch break (candidates must be flexible)

Overtime available after 8 hours, Saturdays, Sundays & Bank Holidays.

£18.00 after 8 and on a Saturday

£24.00 on Sundays and Bank Holidays
