The Best Connection are looking to recruit a Class 1, C+E HIAB driver based around the Gravesend area.  

You will play a crucial role in ensuring the fleet maintains full utilisation, transporting modular structures, temporary storage & accommodation units to and from of the company's customers. You will also be responsible for delivering goods, engaging with customers and providing a positive face of the company.  

There will need to be a good level of fitness as this role will require to onload and unload products and there will be occasional abnormal load. You may also be required to work nights away & there is a possibility of weekend travel. 

Start time for this job is 6:30am and it is primarily Monday to Friday working around 45 hours a week, with this we will be looking to give you a good work/home life balance. 

Pay for the role is £19.01 per hour, based on a minimum day of 9 hours a day. With overtime rate starting at £28.51 after 45 hours in a week. 

Responsibilities and eligibility of the driver: 

• Valid Class 1 HGV Driving Licence. 
• Previous experience in operating a lorry loader crane from 31 tonne and above/up to 66 tonnes. 
• Previous experience operating a wagon and drag combination. 
• CPCS and/or ALLMI lorry loader operator qualification 
• Must be able to work within a team friendly environment 
• Must be passionate about safety at all times 
• exceptional customer service, putting the customer at the heart of everything you do. 
• Must be flexible, as appointments may require you to be away from home throughout the working week, driving all types of vehicles at any of our locations. These appointments may change with limited notice, in line with business or operational needs.
