HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver for immediate starts– £14.50/hr + Night Out and Meal Allowance

The Best Connection are currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 Tramper Drivers for general haulage work across the UK.

Pay Rates:

• £14.50ph
• £25.50 Night out allowance
• £4.50 Daily Meal allowance

Role Details:

• Start: Immediate
• Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday
• Nights Out: 4–5 nights out per week
• Type of Work: General haulage – Nationwide deliveries
• Contract: Full-time, ongoing position

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre and post operation inspection of the vehicle in accordance with Company policy to ensure tyre pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls are in proper working order. Report any safety issues on standard reports.
• Adhering to assigned delivery schedule and following all job directives precisely Interact with dispatchers and others on a daily basis to ensure all task are carried out in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain adherence to required productivity standards for the department to ensure all customers are serviced in a timely and efficient manner.
• Follow all required safety policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of HGV Class 1 driving experience (General Haulage)
• At least 6 months tramping experience
• Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence, CPC, and Digi card
• A good attitude and a professional approach to driving and customer service
