The Best Connection are currently seeking a HGV 7.5tn driver for our client based in Tilbury. Drivers are required to ensure timeous professional Delivery and Collection of Portable Toilets and Welfare Units to and from their customers, complete Daily/Weekly cleaning and service tasks as specified.

Please note this is a Temp to Perm position.

Hours of Work:  

• Schedule: Monday to Friday - With occasional Saturday work 
• Start Times from: 6:00am – 15:00pm.

Pay rates: 

• £13.94 per hour. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and manage daily workload to meet service and quality standards.
• Carry out multi-drop servicing of portable toilets, including cleaning, emptying, refilling with chemicals and restocking.
• Load, deliver, collect, and inspect toilets and welfare units, ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately.
• Safe loading/unloading of all equipment onto/from GAP vehicles (strapping/chaining/roping).
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organisation of vehicles, depot, and yard areas
• Adhere to health & safety standards, legal requirements, and company procedures
• Perform basic vehicle checks and minor maintenance tasks
• Test electrical fittings and tag damaged items for repair
• Support depot operations including workshop duties and forklift use
• Working at event sites / locations (generally Saturdays, Sundays and Bank holidays) as required, with overnight stay overs required in tents, caravans, B&B or hotels as specified

Skills and experience required:  

• Cat C1 Licence. 
• Valid CPC & Digital Tachograph Card with understanding of cards. 
• Good knowledge of Essex & Kent would be desirable.
