HGV Class 2 Refuse Drivers Wanted – Berkshire

Location: Ascot
Pay: £16.00 per hour (based on a 45-hour week)
Hours: 05:45 - 15:45 (1-hour unpaid break)
Overtime: £24.00 per hour after 9 hours per day

About the Role:

We’re looking for reliable and hardworking HGV Class 2 Refuse Drivers to join a well-established company in Berkshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for drivers who enjoy being part of a team and contributing to the local community through essential refuse collection services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Driving a Class 2 refuse vehicle on designated routes
• Working alongside loaders to carry out collections
• Ensuring timely and safe disposal of waste
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting defects
• Following all health & safety procedures
• Providing excellent service to the public and local authorities
• Assisting with minor vehicle maintenance if required
• Supporting depot operations when needed

Requirements:

• Valid CPC, Tacho Card, and Full Driving Licence (Category C)
• Previous refuse driving experience is preferred but not essential
• Strong awareness of health & safety and road regulations
• Good timekeeping and reliability
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Be able to assist with loading when required
