Our client are seeking a dynamic and motivated Technical Sales Lead to join their busy office in Ivybridge. They are a brand leader that manufactures diesel engine Spark Arrestors, bespoke silencers and various pipework that is distributed Worldwide.

Within this technical role you will need to develop an extensive knowledge client products and be expected to deal with technical and sales enquiries via telephone, email and occasionally face to face. The role also involves preparing quotations, troubleshooting technical issues, sales order processing and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Handling technical and sales enquiries via the telephone and email in a prompt and efficient manner
• Build lasting relationships with our customers and suppliers
• Liaise with customers, relevant departments and any necessary third parties regarding product availability, delivery times and other relevant circumstances
• Attend trade shows as and when required
• Provide capacity for processing sales orders as demand dictates
• Provide both written and verbal quotations where necessary for Western Tydens products
• Follow up leads and previous quotations
• Assist with marketing campaigns

You must have:

• Good interpersonal and negotiating skills
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Technical skills with a sales focus
• Previous experience of business-to-business sales and/or technical support
• Good IT skills with experience in Microsoft software and ERP systems
• Preferably come from an engineering background

Pay Rate & Benefits:

• £12.98-14.42ph, dependant on experience
• 23 days holiday per year + bank holidays which increases to 25 days holiday after 5 years' service.
