Our lovely client who deal with refitting vans into refrigerated units, are looking for a new team memeber for a permanent role.
Mon-Fri 08:00-16:30
Job role and duties:
- Read and understand lay-up drawings and use laminating skills to carry out the required workload to the lay-up specification
- Apply lacquers and waxes to mould surfaces to facilitate assembly and removal of laminated parts
- Apply layers of gel to mould surfaces prior to placement of fibreglass mat, repeating layers until products have the desired thickness
- Check completed products for conformance to specifications and for defects
- Mask off mould areas which are not to be laminated, using cellophane, wax paper, masking tape, or special sprays containing mould-releasing substances
- Any other duties as required
Experience in laminating preferred, would suit candidates with a background in boat manufacture, as well as automotive industry or similar.
