The Best Connection is working with our client who are a progressive Pharmaceuticals company based in Sunderland. Due to new contract wins they are looking for a Laboratory Assistant.
The purpose of the role is to support the manufacturing team within the laboratory / clean room. To ensure the laboratory is set up with the correct equipment and adequate supplies of materials are available as well as a range of checks being carried out.
Working in a clean room environment duties will include:
Checking pressure readings for gauges and recording information on the appropriate log, advising line manager of any discrepancies.
Checking the temperature of the clean room and alerting line manager of any discrepancies / out of range.
Ensuring that there are adequate supplies for glass wear, equipment, raw materials and consumables available for us to allow the efficient and effective production within the department.
Maintain the cleanliness and integrity of the clean room.
Perform daily, weekly and environmental monitoring and participate in the rotating disinfection plan schedules.
Maintaining sufficient stock of disposable PPE.
Accurately documenting and recording results in line with company procedure.
Hours of work: Monday – Friday 10.45am – 7.30pm
Pay rate (age dependant) £7.11 - £8.21 per hour

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working in a clean room / pharmaceutical environment and have a previous production experience.

- Hourly rate as above, or the appropriate National Minimum Wage (age dependent)
