The Best Connection Newcastle are recruiting for a full time permanent HGV Technician on behalf of a well established Transport business based in Cramlington.

The role:

• Fault diagnostics
• Servicing and repairs
• Breakdown recovery
• MOT prep/presentation
• Full vehicle overhauls (including engine/gearbox repairs)

The ideal candidate would have:

• Minimum of 2+ years post-qualification experience in Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance/Repairs, or Time Served.
• Class 1 HGV Licence is a plus.
• Ability to work unsupervised, using your own initiative, to meet tight deadlines.

Hours of work and Pay :

• 45-hour workweek with a two-shift rotation
• Week 1: 07:00am - 16:30pm
• Week 2: 09:30am - 19:00pm + Saturday morning
• Base Salary: Up to £41,418 per annum

• Overtime Rates: £23.01, £26.57, £35.41 per hour
