CLASS 1 DAY DRIVER – STRAW CARTING POLLINGTON TO DRAX

The Best Connection is an employment business recruiting on behalf of our client.

We have an immediate start for a Class 1 driver for ongoing work Monday to Friday  carting straw from bulk storage facility in Pollington to Drax Power Station in East Yorkshire.

The work will involve using a 50 foot rear steering flat deck trailer. Ideally, with training, the driver will load the trailer using the Bale loader (JCB) and secure the load using ratchet straps. The load is taken to Drax Power Station where the driver removes the straps and the vehicle is unloaded. The driver returns to Pollington for another load. The driver is expected to do 4 full loads per day finishing around 17.00 to 18.00.

Starts are at 06.00 each day, Monday to Friday.

Applicants must have good strapping skills to secure the load. Previous straw haulage experience would be an advantage.

PAY & TERMS

• £ 15.00 PER HOUR
• ALL BREAKS PAID
• GUARANTEED MINIMUM 8 HOURS PAY PER DAY

Applicants must be over 25 years of age and have at least 1 years experience at driving HGV CE Class 1 articulated trucks. Maximum 6 minor points and no DR, DD or CD endorsements.
