This role involves delivering materials using a HIAB (Hydraulically Operated Crane) to various sites across the region. Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a Class 2 vehicle equipped with a HIAB crane.
- Load and unload materials using the HIAB, ensuring proper handling and safety. ⚙️
- Follow delivery schedules precisely and complete all necessary paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with site managers and clients to ensure smooth deliveries.
- Perform routine vehicle and crane checks, reporting any maintenance needs.
- Keep your vehicle clean and organised.
- Adhere to all health and safety protocols, particularly when operating the HIAB crane on construction sites. ️
Requirements:
- A valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence and HIAB certification.
- Current Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous experience operating a HIAB crane, particularly in delivering construction materials, is highly desirable. ️
- Strong understanding of safe loading practices and securing cargo. ️
- Good geographical knowledge of the Cardiff area and ability to plan efficient routes. ️
- Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work independently. ⏱️
