The Best Connection is excited to be recruiting for a Class 2 Driver on behalf of our client in the SA31 area, specialising in the delivery of construction materials. ️ This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced drivers looking for consistent work with a well-established company!
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a Class 2 vehicle, ensuring compliance with road and driving regulations.
- Load and unload a variety of construction materials, sometimes using a tail lift or other equipment. ⚙️
- Accurately follow delivery schedules and ensure all paperwork is completed correctly.
- Communicate effectively with site managers and clients to confirm delivery instructions.
- Conduct routine vehicle checks and report any maintenance needs or issues.
- Maintain a high standard of vehicle cleanliness and organisation.
- Adhere to all health and safety protocols, especially when operating in construction environments.
Requirements:
- A valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
- Current Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Strong understanding of safe loading practices and securing cargo. ️
- Good geographical knowledge of the local area and ability to plan efficient routes. ️
- Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work independently. ⏱️
