The Best Connection Bedford are recruiting for LGV Cat C+E (HGV Class 1) drivers for our client in Bedfordshire for an immediate start. Flexible working patterns available - you choose how many days per week you would like to work. Choice of days or nights available. Weekend work also available if desired. The role will involve delivery of palletised products to distribution centres across the UK

Start times vary between 05:00am and 08:00am for Class 1 Days and 16:00pm and 20:00pm for Class 1 Nights.   

HGV Class 1 Driver Duties:

• Well-maintained vehicles

• Flexible shift patterns

• Free on-site parking

• Trunk runs

• Pre-loaded Vehicles.

• Completion of Paperwork & vehicle checks

Requirements of HGV1 Class 1 Driver

• Good understanding of driver's hours regulations

• Good understanding of safety on the road and when loading and unloading 

• A polite and professional manner 

• Hold a UK Licence, CPC and DIGI tachograph cards

• Must be able to follow construction sites H&S code of practice

• No more than 6 points (No DD DR or IN)

• Must have the correct PPE - HI Vis and Safety Boots (can be provided)

• Ability to complete record sheets and paperwork accurately 

• Good customer service
