The Best Connection are looking to recruit a Health & Safety Officer on a Permanent basis with a well established and growing business in Thorne.

Requirements:

• NEBOSH Certificate is essential
• A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role in a food production environment is desirable
• IOSH membership is desirable
• An element of flexibility for working hours in case of emergency is essential
• Experience and Knowledge of working to ISO accreditations ISO 9001 · ISO 45001 · ISO 14001 is essential
• Excellent communication and IT skills with a can-do attitude
• Must be HACCP trained

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring the Senior team and Line Managers receive expert advice, training and guidance on H&S Policies
• Ensuring safe Operating Procedures and Risk Assessments
• Completing regular site audits, making corrections and updating risk assessments where necessary
• Investigate Incidents / Accidents and compile reports on near misses and trends
• Communicate with external organisations such as insurance claims investigation teams
• Look to continually improve the health and safety across the business
• Ensuring the highest standards are implemented and maintained
• Maintain and monitor policies and procedures
• Responsible for all H&S matters and compliance working directly with the Directors

Salary and benefits:

• 08.00 – 16.30, Monday – Friday
