Join our established logistics company in Colnbrook as a Goods In / Stock Control Operative 

Pay: £24,000 - £26,000 per annum. 

⏱️ Shifts: Monday to Friday, but can include overtime and weekend work when busy:

  • 08:00am -  16:45pm
  • 09:15am - 18:00pm
     

Role Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning, coordinating and monitoring the receipt and dispatch of goods.
  • Assist in checking and inspecting goods received and ensuring they are of an accurate quantity, type and acceptable quality. Report receipts to the Campaign Managers.
  • Assist in labelling and locating product with over relevant campaign elements within the warehouse.
  • Sign for goods received into the warehouse.
  • Assist in updating the stock system, monitor racking movements, keep inventories up to date.
  • Assist in loading and unloading goods form company and third-party vehicles.
  • Assist in inventorying and reporting returned EM or Event kits to Campaign Managers.
  • Organise elements in set areas ready to pick & pack, update the relevant goods in advice.
  • Operate company vehicles when necessary.
  • Housekeeping: Ensure there is a clean and safe warehouse environment for all staff to work in, remove hazardous products or debris from site in line with H&S regulations.

Ideal Skills and Traits:

  • Some experience of working in a warehouse environment.
  • Have an understanding of material / stock management techniques and inventory control methods and procedures.
  • Able to lift and move boxes, heavy packages and objects without difficulty and carry out tasks as directed.
  • Ability to work co-operatively within a team
  • Able to follow standard operating procedures and work in a methodical and tidy manner.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Basic computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Understanding of Health & Safety regulations.
  • Honest, reliable, organised, methodical and a `can do' approach
  • Flexibility with hours of work should the need arise to include working early mornings and late evenings and occasional and weekends
  • Full driving licence.

Desirable qualifications: 

  • Forklift Licence - Counter Balance / Reach Truck
  • NVQ in warehousing and storage
