The Best Connection Newcastle are looking to recruit a Production/Warehouse Operative to work for our client on Team Valley, Gateshead. Our client is one of the leading glass suppliers in the UK and ideally looking for someone who comes from a Glass Processing or Glass Production Background. 

The role:

  • Handling and working with different types of glass including patterned, textured and laminated glass
  • Carefully offloading sheets of glass from delivery vehicles 
  • Using hand tools and machinery to process glass products (edging, polishing etc) 
  • Using automatic cutting tables to cut glass to specifications
  • Following health and safety procedures

The candidate:

  • Experience of glass handling is essential
  • Training will be provided for use of the cutting tables and hand tools, but previous experience would be advantageous 
  • Must be organised and able to prioritise workload 
  • Reliable and hard working, with good timekeeping 
  • Strong understanding of health and safety procedures

Hours + Pay:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 7:45am - 4:15pm 
  • Early finishes on Friday 
  • £11.44 per hour
  • 39hrs per week

This role is temp to perm for the right candidate.
