The Best Connection are currently seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Operative to join our client. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by handling various tasks related to stock management, materials handling, and logistics.

This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed.

Pay is £13.50 for Non FLT, £14.50 for those with a FLT and driving licence

Duties

•  Operate warehouse management systems
•  Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring safe handling and storage.
•  Load and unload containers
•  Sorting and organising products within the warehouse.
•  Perform shipping and receiving tasks, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation.
•  Conduct regular stock checks to maintain accurate inventory records.
•  Operate forklifts safely to move heavy items around the warehouse as required.
•  Utilise software for inventory management and reporting purposes.
•  Apply mechanical knowledge to assist with minor repairs or maintenance of warehouse equipment.

Requirements

•  Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential
•  Familiarity with warehouse management systems is advantageous.
•  Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks consistently and safely throughout the shift.
•  Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in managing stock levels.
•  Experience in shipping and receiving processes is desirable.
•  Valid forklift certification is a plus; training may be provided for the right candidate.
•  Basic mechanical knowledge will be beneficial for equipment maintenance tasks.
•  Be able or willing to train and use light Engineering machinery such as Saw benches and Drill presses along with solvent cements for light assembly work of plastic items.
•  Driving Licence (Preferred)
