The Role: Credit Controller
They are seeking a meticulous and driven Credit Controller to join their finance team. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining positive relationships with clients/customers. Your efforts will directly contribute to the financial health of the company, enabling them to continue setting industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Account Management: Monitor outstanding accounts, issue invoices, and ensure timely collection of payments.
- Customer Relationships: Communicate effectively with customers to resolve queries, negotiate payment terms, and maintain strong professional relationships.
- Credit Risk Assessment: Evaluate the creditworthiness of clients/Customers and recommend appropriate credit limits.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on accounts receivable status, overdue accounts, and cash flow projections.
- Collaboration: Work closely with sales, operations, and finance teams to streamline processes and ensure alignment on credit policies.
- Policy Enforcement: Ensure adherence to the company’s credit control policies and procedures while recommending improvements where necessary.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years in credit control would be desirable
- Skills: Strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Sage, or similar).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive conversations professionally.
- Problem-Solving: A proactive approach to resolving issues, identifying patterns, and implementing solutions.
- Integrity: A commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards in all dealings.
