The Best Connection are currently recruiting for a Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join a busy and well-established logistics operation in Kirkby-in-Ashfield.

This is a hands-on role where your primary responsibility will be operating a Counterbalance FLT to support the smooth flow of goods in and out of the site. Yard duties and manual handling will complement your forklift tasks.

Pay Rate and Hours:

• 8.30am - 4pm (Mon - Fri)
• £13.03 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck to move goods and materials, load and unload trailers using FLT
• Transport pallets and IBCs to designated storage or production areas
• Support production lines with timely material movement
• Verify and check details on all inbound and outbound deliveries
• Complete relevant paperwork accurately
• Assist with general yard duties including manual handling and housekeeping, use RF guns for picking materials when required.

Objectives:

• Ensure all forklift and yard operations are carried out safely and efficiently
• Follow safe operating procedures and risk assessments
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the yard and warehouse areas

Requirements:

• Valid Counterbalance FLT licence (in-house accredited licences accepted)
• Proven experience in forklift operation within a warehouse or yard setting
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
