Our Middlesbrough based Client is currently seeking a Deputy Team Leader / CNC Operator to join their esteemed and dedicated production team. This opportunity is open to candidates with experience in Leadership and CNC Machinery, especially sheet metal, who are looking to work for a well-established, industry leader.
This role is permanent with the Client.
The role includes:
- Supervise CNC operators on the production floor
- Make sure deadlines are adhered to, and safety at work is met
- Manage staff when higher management are absent/on leave
- Prepare sheet metal and operate CNC machinery to bend, cut and form components to company and product specifications
- Demonstrate excellent experience preparing materials, working to technical drawings and job specs
- Ensure finished products are inspected and high-quality standards are met
- Report any faults perform basic maintenance on machinery
- General housekeeping and safety when at work and using equipment
Successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience in a CNC role a must
- Previous leadership skills and proven ability to work and manage a team
- Health and safety experience desirable
- Excellent attention to detail, working to project specifications and ensuring quality standards are met
- A desire to learn, with great punctuation and an excellent work ethic
Hours of work:
- Monday to Friday
- 07:00am to 15:30pm
Pay rate and benefits:
- £15.86 per hour, £33,000 per annum
- Overtime on a Saturday at pay x1.5
- Overtime on a Sunday at pay x2
- 24 holidays (plus bank holidays), increasing by 1 day for every year of service up to 4 years
