Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, setting up, and operating CNC machines with precision and efficiency primarily using Vcarve software.
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming and operating 3-4 Axis Butler Elgamills with Heidenhain TNC320 CNC machines with conversational programming software, producing precision components to tolerances of .0005" (.0127 mm). This role requires a strong understanding of tooling, technical drawings, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to manufacture parts according to specifications. The CNC Operative/Programmer will work closely with ware team to ensure that production runs smoothly and efficiently.
Duties:
- Develop and optimise CNC programmes for various machining operations.
- Set up and operate CNC machines, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Assemble components using hand tools and machinery, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
- Conduct regular maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to fabricate parts accurately.
- Utilise maths skills for measurements and calculations related to machining processes.
- Manage materials handling within the warehouse, ensuring proper storage and inventory control.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues related to logic controllers and machine operation.
Skills:
- 3 years experience as a CNC Operator
- Proficient in tooling techniques and practices.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex machinery.
- Experience with hand tools and their application in a manufacturing environment.
- Maths skills for effective measurement and calculation tasks including trigonometry.
- Ability to manufacture and self-check work.
- Machining experience in Milling and Drilling
