We are currently recruiting for a HGV Moffett Driver for a leading supplier in the building and landscaping industry, specializing in providing high-quality fence panels and building supplies to businesses and residential customers across the UK.
The Role: As a HGV1 Moffett Driver, you will play a crucial role in the companies supply chain, ensuring the timely and safe delivery of fence panels to customers. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include loading, transporting, and unloading goods using a Moffett forklift, adhering to the highest standards of safety and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a HGV vehicle and Moffett forklift.
- Load and secure fence panels and other materials as required for safe transportation.
- Plan routes efficiently and manage delivery schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
- Perform daily vehicle checks and maintain cleanliness and safety of the vehicle.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, including assisting with unloading and placement of materials as needed.
- Coordinate with the logistics team to report any issues or delays.
- Comply with all transport laws, as well as company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Valid HGV Class 1 Or Class 2 vehicle (C+E) driving license.
- Certified Moffett operator with proven experience.
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Physically fit and able to handle and transport heavy materials.
- Friendly and professional demeanor.
- Flexible with work hours and able to undertake long-distance jobs when necessary.
Pay- £17-£21 per hour
