Class 1 HGV Drivers Wanted – Ongoing Work | Telford 

The Best Connection are currently recruiting experienced Class 1 HGV drivers for a well-established client based in Telford. This is a fantastic opportunity for drivers looking for ongoing, steady work with good rates of pay and minimal manual handling.

The Role:

• General haulage using refrigerated units
• No handball – simply reverse onto bays and wait while the unit is loaded/unloaded
• Work mainly consists of depot-to-depot runs
• £25.00 night out allowance for any nights spent out in the vehicle
• A 30-minute on-site induction is required before starting

Shifts:

• Core working days are Thursday to Monday
• Flexibility available for other days if better suited to your availability
• Start times vary – both days and nights available

Pay Rates:

• Weekday Drivers: £14.50 per hour
• Saturday Days: £15.50 per hour
• Sundays & Bank Holidays: £16.20 per hour

Requirements:

• To be considered for this role, you must have:
• A valid UK Class 1 (C+E) licence
• Minimum of 2 years' experience driving Class 1 vehicles
• Experience with refrigerated trailers
• Over 25 years of age (for insurance purposes)
• A valid CPC card and digital tachograph card
• Good knowledge of driver hours, WTD regulations, and safe driving practices
• A professional attitude and a commitment to punctuality and reliability
