Class 1 Driver Nights - £16.00 per hour (Rising to £16.50 after 12 weeks) - Monday to Friday - Ongoing Work

The Best Connection are currently recruiting Class 1 (HGV1) Drivers for our client based in Team Valley, Gateshead. This is a fantastic opportunity for professional drivers looking for night trunking work with consistent hours, excellent pay, and the chance to join a reliable and supportive team throughout the busy period and beyond. The Role:

• Trunk runs to Coventry
• Working Monday to Friday
• Start time between 21:00 and 21:45
• Carrying out collections and deliveries as required
• Ensuring all goods are safely loaded, secured, and delivered on time
• Performing vehicle checks and maintaining high safety standards
• Communicating effectively with the transport team

The Candidate:

• Must hold a valid Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card required
• Minimum of 6 months' Class 1 HGV driving experience
• Reliable, professional, and safety-conscious
• Good communication and customer service skills

Hours of Work:

• Monday to Friday nights
• Start time: Between 21:00 and 21:45
• Ongoing work with consistent weekly hours

Pay Rates:

• £16.00 per hour (Monday-Sunday)
• £16.50 per hour after 40 hours
• £16.50 per hour (Monday-Sunday) after 12 weeks
• £20.50 overtime rate after 12 weeks
• £32.50 bank holiday rate after 12 weeks
