The Role:
As a Production Operative, you will play a vital role in assembling and testing mechanical and electro-mechanical components and systems. Working closely with engineering drawings and instructions, you will ensure the production of high-quality components in line with company standards.
Hours:
Week 1: Monday to Thursday, 08:00 - 16:45
Week 2: Monday to Thursday, 08:00 - 16:45 and Friday, 08:00 - 16:30

Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and test electro-optical components and systems with precision and adherence to specifications.
- Conduct quality checks at each production stage to maintain high standards.
- Complete and maintain accurate production records and documentation.
- Operate hand and bench tools safely and effectively, including torque drivers.
- Follow engineering drawings, work instructions, and verbal guidance.
- Contribute to a safe and efficient workplace, adhering to health and safety policies.
- Participate in training courses as required.
- Undertake occasional customer and supplier visits.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience assembling mechanical or electro-mechanical components.
- Skilled in using hand tools and bench tools, including torque drivers.
- Familiarity with ESD procedures (desirable).
- Strong ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of using Loctite, adhesives, and other assembly components.
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
- Computer literacy, particularly in MS Office packages.
- Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to meet the evolving needs of the business.
