The Role:
As a Production Operative, you will play a vital role in assembling and testing mechanical and electro-mechanical components and systems. Working closely with engineering drawings and instructions, you will ensure the production of high-quality components in line with company standards.

Hours:
Week 1: Monday to Thursday, 08:00 - 16:45
Week 2: Monday to Thursday, 08:00 - 16:45 and Friday, 08:00 - 16:30

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and test electro-optical components and systems with precision and adherence to specifications.
  • Conduct quality checks at each production stage to maintain high standards.
  • Complete and maintain accurate production records and documentation.
  • Operate hand and bench tools safely and effectively, including torque drivers.
  • Follow engineering drawings, work instructions, and verbal guidance.
  • Contribute to a safe and efficient workplace, adhering to health and safety policies.
  • Participate in training courses as required.
  • Undertake occasional customer and supplier visits.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience assembling mechanical or electro-mechanical components.
  • Skilled in using hand tools and bench tools, including torque drivers.
  • Familiarity with ESD procedures (desirable).
  • Strong ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of using Loctite, adhesives, and other assembly components.
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Computer literacy, particularly in MS Office packages.
  • Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to meet the evolving needs of the business.

Additional Requirements:
Due to the sensitive nature of the work, all candidates must undergo Security Clearance (SC) as part of the recruitment process.
