We are currently seeking Airside Assistants for our prestigious client based at London Gatwick Airport. A leading global, reputable cargo and parcel distribution company, require workers to help assist in their busy warehouse as they come out of their winter period ready for the busy summer peak at Gatwick Airport.
Responsibilities of the Airside Assistants, will include but not be limited to:
-Delivering goods from the loading bay to the retailers at the airport.
-Delivering goods to retailers and restaurants using rolling cages, pallet trucks etc.
-Continuous heavy lifting loading and unloading stock.
-Rotating stock around the warehouse utilising moving equipment including manual pump trucks and powered pump trucks.
-Completion of paperwork and general warehouse duties as required.
-Maintain general security of warehouse in accordance with Company Security procedures and undertake security screening to meet CAA regulations
-Maintain a safe working environment and observe safe working practices
Various ranging from 7 – 12 hours, can include working nights. Typical shifts are 18:00 – 06:00 and 06:00 – 18:00.
£9.00 per hour rising to £9.98 after 12 weeks; chances to progress to higher pay brackets are available upon completion of security courses; attractive bonus schemes available!
Please Note: Candidates: must be willing to work in a physically demanding environment. You must also have a valid Passport or EU ID. Must have proof of National Insurance (HMRC Document, NI Card). Ideally should have 5 years worth of employment/education history.. A proactive personality, willingness to work and excellent communication skills is also a bonus!!!
