Our client, based in Wilnecote Tamworth, requires a Mechanic / MOT Tester. Responsibilities:

• Diagnosing mechanical problems accurately and efficiently using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Performing repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and other vehicle components
• Conducting routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid flushes.
• Inspecting vehicles to identify any additional issues that may require attention.
• Communicating with customers regarding the status of their vehicles and provide recommendations for necessary repairs or maintenance.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
• Keeping abreast of industry advancements and participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.

Requirements, skills and qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Mechanic, preferably in an automotive repair shop or dealership.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and components.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Certification from a recognized automotive training program is preferred.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Qualified to carryout MOT

The package:

• Hours of work: 08:30 - 17:00 Monday to Friday (Saturday's till 12pm)

• 46 hours per week

• £14.63ph
