Maintenance and Manufacturing Engineer

Our client based in South Leicester are looking for a Maintenance & Manufacturing Engineer to start immediately. Hours of work are Monday to Thursday 08.00 - 17.00 and Friday 08.00 - 13.00. This role pays £18.19 per hour with overtime available paying up to £36.38 per hour and offers excellent working conditions within a people focused company and an excellent opportunity for permanent employment following a successful trial period.

General Responsibilities

• Production equipment maintenance and calibration.
• Assembly and testing of new production equipment.
• Compiling work instructions and procedures for production
• Support production in implementing new layouts and procedures.
• Participate in the organisation of goods inwards inspection and compile reports of measurements taken.
• Input to other Quality Assurance tasks.

Experience / Qualifications

• Relevant engineering qualification and work experience within a practical engineering environment.
• Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
• Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
• Robust organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
• Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity.
• Willingness to learn new skills.
• Understanding of mechanical and/or electronic fault finding. Either pneumatic or electrical fault finding an advantage.
• Ability to improve a production process by either concept or design of new jigging and fixtures.
